Requiem, W.A. Mozart

Requiem, W.A. Mozart

March 15, 2019
Location: Central Presbyterian Church

Mozart’s Requiem sits atop the panoply of choral-orchestral masterworks. Lauded for its emotional depth, musical construction and artistic power, it has no equal. Add to this the mystery and myth surrounding the composer’s unexpected death leaving the work incomplete and you have a fascinating and compelling musical adventure for both singer and listener. CRS is honored to bring to the stage the masterwork that launched our choral organization. We are also thrilled to collaborate with special guests from Bear Creek High School (Lakewood, CO) and Prairie View High School (Brighton, CO) in this presentation of Mozart’s final and most cherished work, the Requiem.

Sounds of an American Choir

May 17 & 18, 2019
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

Our final concert of the year serves as an exciting precursor to the choir’s first international tour. Colorado Repertory Singers will travel to central Europe to share the gift of song with audiences in Salzburg, Vienna and Prague. We'll bring with us music created for cathedrals, songs that represent our own homeland, and a few lasting favorites; but first, we'll share them on our home soil in one of Denver's most acoustically beautiful spaces.
