Ronald J.Williams was the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the Colorado Repertory Singers and a choral director for over 32 years. He was the proud winner of the Broomfield Community Foundation’s 2008 Heart of Broomfield Award for his contribution to the arts, and also the Director of the Northland and Sine Nomine Chorales as well as the Founder and Artistic Director of The Broomfield Choral Festival, a community chorale that presents an annual major works concert free to the public. He taught piano, voice and composition students in his “Studio B,” and tunes and repaired pianos in his business, “Finely Tuned.”
Mr. Williams produced and directed numerous feature concerts in the greater Denver area, and was also an avid composer. His works are available on Volumes 8, 9 and Holidays from “Masterworks of the New Era,” produced by ERMMedia. His vocal works have been performed in concert by area chorales and he arranged over 130 hymns for small band ensemble, piano and organ.
Mr. Williams earned a Master of Music degree in composition from the University of Colorado and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida and enjoyed membership in the Colorado Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
