Celebrating our tenth season!

Ten years ago, Ron Williams, his wife,Joan, and three close friends sat down together over dinner and discussed the idea of forming a choral group in the Broomfield/Westminster area. Not just any group, but one that would embrace the goal of presenting to our community the widest possible scope of vocal works from classical to contemporary and everything in between.

The discussion became a reality with the formation of the Colorado Repertory Singers. The CRS has embraced all genres of music in its ten years of quality choral concerts.

Tickets for all regular shows are $8.00 and free for kids 5 and under!

Colorado Repertory Singers extends an $8 all-inclusive ticket structure to ensure the widest possbile access to our concerts. This reduction has been made possible by a growing base of community support. We are excited by the opportunity to make a full and lively repertoire of fine choral music more readily available to all age and income levels in our area.

There’s just nothing like a live concert! We soak in the ambience of an attractive and comfortable venue. We connect with our friends and neighbors on stage. We sit among others we believe are sharing our emotions. We are touched and momentarily transformed by the power of the music itself.

This experience of listening to music in a concert setting is just one of the reasons that live concerts continue to bring greater satisfaction than listening privately to even the most perfect recordings. It is an experience that the CRS is delighted to be able to extend to more audience members than ever before.

Travel with us to the heart of the holidays: Home. Wherever home may be, let us transport you there! Recall with us favorite memories conveyed through a variety of rich and vibrant traditional holiday songs and carols from the beautiful "Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming" to a musicological journey through "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

Free Christmas refreshments will be served and a silent auction will feature Christmas gift baskets.

A CLASSICAL CELEBRATI0N

Schubert wrote his Mass in G Major within the space of five days, March 2-7, 1815. This is the shortest and simplest of his seven masses, intended for performance in his parish church of Lichenthal. The chamber instrumentation for strings is beautifully transparent. The Mass setting is restrained and conservative, reminiscent of Mozart or early Beethoven. It contains those portions of the Ordinary of the Mass that are most frequently set to music - Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, and Angus Dei - in the original Latin.

Norman's Luboff's African Mass, for chorus, soloists, and tuned drums, is inspired by the rhythmic ostinatos of African music. While the melodies are simple, the repetition of independent rhythmic lines creates a sense of motion and drama. The result is a moving and dramatic setting for the traditional Mass text
